Answer: The TAE40122 Certificate IV is not easy to get done. Even the much simpler, older TAE10 had a completion rate of roughly 50%.

Is it preferable to get a diploma or a certificate IV?

Answer: A Diploma or Advanced Diploma is a step before Certificate IV. Sometimes, you need to finish a Certificate IV before pursuing a Diploma and other times you can enroll directly into a Diploma course.

Is Certificate IV considered a trade qualification?

Answer: Not Really! Certificates III-IV replace the old trade certificate system, offering training in more advanced skills and knowledge.
